That’s why we recently hosted a charity golf day in support of PAPYRUS, a Manchester-based charity dedicated to the prevention of suicide and the promotion of positive mental health and emotional well-being in young people.

About PAPYRUS and Our Charity Golf Day
Founded in 1997 by parents who had tragically lost their children to suicide, PAPYRUS works tirelessly to raise awareness and offer support to those in need. Their HOPELINEUK service offers confidential support and advice to young people and anyone concerned about a young person struggling with thoughts of suicide. We were honoured to host this event and contribute to their mission.
How the day unfolded
The day kicked off as players arrived at the beautiful Wilmslow Golf Course. Each participant was welcomed with a gift bag, including a branded golf top, setting the tone for a fantastic day of golf ahead.
Despite the morning starting with some rain, spirits were high. Soon enough, the clouds cleared, allowing for good playing conditions as the players teed off across the 18 holes. Each hole had a sponsor contributing to the fundraising efforts. As the final round wrapped up, players gathered for a post-game meal of soup and pie – warm and comforting after a full day on the course.
The Presentation
The afternoon continued with a presentation, beginning with a heartfelt talk from PAPYRUS representatives, reminding us of the crucial work they do and the lives they’ve touched. Afterwards, there was a final chance to buy raffle tickets before the main event – the announcement of the day’s winners!
We celebrated the winning team with applause and prizes, followed by the raffle draw, which featured exciting prizes generously donated by sponsors. It was a perfect end to a rewarding day.
