How Hive 365 became a solar-powered coworking space!

At Hive 365, we care about the environment. That’s why we’ve taken a significant step towards becoming a more sustainable coworking space by installing solar panels on our roof, which helps reduce our carbon footprint and powers your working day with clean, renewable energy.

Going Green With Glowsolar

We partnered with the expert team at Glowsolar to install a powerful solar system designed to maximise energy output from our flat roof. Here’s what we installed:

  • 62x Jinko 440W solar panels
  • East and west-facing orientation for optimum sunlight capture
  • Total system size: 27.3 kW
  • 25KW Solis inverter

We estimate a 21,600 kWh annually. That’s enough energy to power over six average UK homes for a year, or in our case, to help keep the coffee flowing, your laptops charged, and the lights on in our buzzing shared workspace.

Why We Invested in Solar Energy

As a modern coworking space in Handforth, we believe it’s our responsibility to lead by example when it comes to sustainability. More of our members are seeking eco-conscious office spaces, and we want to support these values with tangible action.

By installing solar panels on our coworking space, we’re reducing our reliance on non-renewable energy sources, lowering our electricity bills, and contributing to a greener local economy, all while supporting the businesses that call Hive 365 home.
